Garfield Public Library is a charter member of the BCCLS, which extends reciprocal borrowing privileges to patrons of any of the 75 libraries in the system with a properly updated card. If you are a resident of Garfield your new library card will be honored at all of the other libraries in the system. Materials from other libraries can be requested online. We process the requests and have the items delivered to the Garfield Public Library for you to pick up. The library may restrict the number of these requests.
Adult applications are used for a person at least 18 years of age. A driver’s license or a recent letter received by mail or a tax bill showing that the person is a Garfield taxpayer can be proof of residency. Parents or legal guardians can register any Garfield child 4 years of age or older for a juvenile library card.
When you get your library card be sure to get a PIN NUMBER and give us your E-MAIL ADDRESS so that you can view your account online 24/7 and receive pre-overdue e-mail notifications. With a pin number, you can track the status of your requests and renew items that can be renewed online at www.bccls.org.
